FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State is set to host a sports spectacular weekend, giving the Red Wave a post-Thanksgiving treat for the die-hard sports fans.
It all begins on Saturday at 4 p.m. when the Bulldog football team hosts Hawai`i in a game where the `Dogs can clinch the West Division title with a victory. It is followed up on Sunday at 3 p.m. with the men's basketball team hosting Cal at the Save Mart Center.
Fresno State is asking Red Wavers to pack Bulldog Stadium on Saturday for Senior Day and the Save Mart Center on Sunday in front of a national TV audience.
The women's basketball team is also in action on the road. Fresno State plays at San Diego on Friday at 6 p.m. and at Bakersfield on Sunday at noon. Fans can listen to Sunday's game on ESPN2 790 AM before heading over to the men's basketball game.
Here are some of the specials to look for this weekend with Bulldog Athletics:
A Holiday Pack is on sale for only $30 that includes tickets to both the football and men's basketball games along with a Derek Carr Bobblehead and Paul George Trading Card.
A second ticket package, the Scholarshare Family Pack, offers up four football tickets with four hot dogs and sodas and four men's basketball tickets at the price of $99.
Students may also purchase up to five guest tickets for Saturday's football game at the reduced price of $15 per guest ticket.
At the end of Saturday's football game, Fresno State will be giving away Derek Carr Bobbleheads at the four main gates when fans exit the stadium.
New Fresno State Director of Athletics Jim Bartko will be introduced to the crowds at both the football and basketball game.
Your ticket stub from Friday's football game can be redeemed for a buy-one-get-one free ticket to the Cal game on Sunday. That offer is only valid to be redeemed at the Save Mart Center box office on Sunday.
Fresno State will be honoring its 19-member senior class before the start of Saturday's football game. This group of seniors has led the Bulldogs to their first back-to-back conference championships since 1992 and 1993 and have the chance to go for a third-straight league crown if they can come out of the Hawai`i game with a victory.
10 lucky fans at the Bulldog football game will win a set of season tickets for the remainder of the 2014 men's basketball season.
Pardini's, Fresno state's concessionaire at Bulldog Stadium, is offering a buy one Pepsi refreshment cup, get one free deal.
The Senior Dog Dance Squad will be performing once again at the football game and Fresno State will also join in on celebrating the 100th birthday of a loyal fan, who will be in attendance at Saturday's game.
