FRESNO, Calif. – After road wins at Wyoming and Nevada to remain atop the Mountain West conference standings at 7-0, and extending its winning streak to 11 games, the Fresno State women’s basketball team returns home to the Save Mart Center this week to host San Diego State and Colorado State.
Against San Diego State on Wednesday at 7 p.m., PT, Bulldog fans will have the chance to win BIG CASH ALL GAME in the form of $100 bills to be given away throughout the contest. Ten $100 bills will be given out during the night, one at each media timeout. Fans also have the chance to win Fresno State sunglasses throughout the game and there will be an interactive social media contest as part of the Red Wave Takeover/Social Media Madness.
At halftime, Fresno's favorite, Mutt's in Motion will be performing.
On Saturday at 2 p.m., in a rematch of last year’s Mountain West championship game against Colorado State, fans are encouraged to “Pack the House” for the contest. During each media timeout, a lucky Bulldog fan will win an iPad. In addition to the free iPads, one Fresno State student will win a GoPro. Fans will also have an opportunity to get a "Go 'Dogs" t-shirt.
As a part of the event, there will also be a live DJ playing music throughout the afternoon.
Colorado State is currently second in the Mountain West, one game back of Fresno State. The game will coincide with National Girl and Women in Sports Day, and former Bulldog student-athletes will be recognized at halftime.
Also slated for halftime is performance from the one and only, Valley favorite, Break the Barriers.
Following the game, the Bulldog seniors will host an autograph session.
“Coach White has her team playing with great intensity and leading the MW Conference and we are pleased to add to that excitement and create a thrilling fan experience with these fun giveaways,” said Fresno State senior associate athletics director Paul Ladwig.
Doors will open one hour prior to tipoff. Tickets for all women’s basketball home games start at $7 for adults and $5 for youth and seniors.
Fresno State students get a free ticket and one free student guest ticket to all home women's basketball games. These free student and student guest tickets can be picked up throughout the week at the University Student Union or on gameday at the Save Mart Center's student entrance on the west side of the building by showing their Fresno State student ID card.
“Be Bold" - ESPN2 790 AM is the home of the Fresno State women’s basketball team.
