COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Fresno State divers Lacie Ruth and Shelbie Holden finished 41st and 44th, respectively, on the 1-meter springboard on Tuesday at the NCAA Zone E Diving meet inside the Cadet Natatorium in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Ruth, a junior from Visalia, scored a 232.45 in her first appearance at the Zones. Holden, a sophomore from Carmichael, Calif., finished with a score of 227.80.
Samantha Pickens from the University of Arizona won the event with a final score of 639.39.
Holden will be back in action on Wednesday when she competes on the Platform. Competition gets underway at 10 a.m. PT and results can be followed at divemeets.com.
