FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State head football coach Tim DeRuyter announced Monday that former NFL player and Fresno native Ricky Manning Jr. is joining the Bulldog coaching staff as a graduate assistant.
Manning will be a defensive graduate assistant coach, working with the Bulldog secondary.
"I'm really excited to add Ricky to our coaching staff," DeRuyter said. "He's a Fresno guy that brings a great pedigree of playing at the highest level. I love his energy and enthusiasm and know he will be asset to our program as we continue to strive for championships."
Manning played six seasons in the NFL after being drafted in the third round of the 2003 draft by Carolina.
