FRESNO, Calif.- Fresno State softball head coach and 2015 Mountain West Coach of the Year, Trisha Ford and staff look to host a pair of camps over summer including a two-day all-skills camp for youth grades 3-7 on June 15-16 and an advanced College ID session for one day only on Aug. 29.
The two-day Bulldog all-skills camp is set to begin at 9 a.m., on Monday, June 15 and will consist of five hours of instruction covering throwing, infield, outfield, base running and hitting with an hour lunch break provided starting at 11:30 a.m., each day. This camp is designed to meet the needs of players who are looking to improve fundamental skills and gain exposure to advanced knowledge of the game.
On Aug. 29, the Bulldog softball program will host a one-day college ID camp for advanced members looking to take their game to the next level. In addition to covering fundamental work, campers will explore advanced skills as they partake in practice sessions similar to those of the Fresno State softball team.
Guidance and thorough instruction will be provided as campers are given the opportunity to showcase their skills and knowledge of the game. Camp will start at 9 a.m., and last until 5 p.m., with a one hour lunch break provided at approximately noon.
Pitching and catching instruction will take place during the advanced skills camp only and participants are encouraged to bring tennis shoes, cleats, knee pads, sunscreen, a hat or visor, bat and helmet. Limited supplies will be available if needed.
The fee for the two-day all-skills camp is $250 while the one-day advanced college ID softball camp cost $200. Campers will receive a free t-shirt upon registration. Both camps will take place at Margie Wright Diamond located on the campus of Fresno State.
