• Fresno State is set to tee off its final event of the fall semester this week, Oct. 24-26 (Monday-Wednesday).
• After the St. Mary's Invitational, Fresno State will return to action Feb. 17-19, 2017 at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, set to be played at the Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif.
• The Bulldogs opened their 2015-16 season with the St. Mary's Invitational (Sept. 14-16, 2015); they finished eighth of 15 teams and were led by Justin Avery and Trevor Clayton, who shared the Fresno State low of 5-over-par 218, respectively.
• The 2015 edition of the St. Mary's Invitational was the first time the Gaels hosted their annual tournament at Poppy Hills; the six previous events were at Bayonet and Black Horse Golf Course in Seaside, Calif.

• Golfstat ranked Fresno State No. 102 in its first poll released this season (Oct. 18).
• There are five teams that are ranked inside the Golfstat top 100 competing at the St. Mary's Invitational, led by San Diego State (25), Oregon State (48) and St. Mary's (59).

• Poppy Hills Golf Course, opened on June 1, 1986, the Robert Trent Jones Jr. design has since co-hosted the PGA Tour's AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am from 1991 through 2009, as well as the Spalding Pebble Beach Invitational (1989, 1990, 1992, 1993) and 1991 NCAA Men's Championships.

• Weather at the Saint Mary's Invitational on Monday (High 67F, Low 55F) is forecasted to have a 10 percent chance of rain and 10-15 mph winds; Tuesday (High 65F, Low 54F) is forecasted to have a 10 percent chance of rain and 5-10 mph winds; Wednesday (High 64F, Low 54F) is forecasted to have a 10 percent chance of rain and 5-10 mph winds.
