No. 24 'Dogs drop 4-1 match at UCSB

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The 24th-ranked Fresno State women's tennis team dropped its second consecutive match on Monday, falling 4-1 at UC Santa Barbara. The Bulldogs (10-6) have not lost consecutive matches since the first week of February when they were competing at ITA Indoor Nationals.
UCSB (7-6) jumped out to an early advantage, sweeping doubles play to grab the 1-0 lead. The Gauchos pulled to within one point of winning the dual match with straight-set victories on courts two and six.
Fresno State got a point back as Galina Bykova made the score 3-1 with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Amanda Atanasson at the No. 4 spot. The Gauchos though ended the match on court three as Stafani Stojic earned earned a 7-6, 6-3 victory.
The Bulldogs will play their final match of their current three-match road trip tomorrow at No. 28 UCLA at 11 a.m. PT.
