No. 22 Bulldogs rout CSUN 6-1

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - No. 22 Fresno State opened up its weekend at the Matador Tennis Complex with a convincing 6-1 win over host CSUN on Saturday to improve to 8-4 on the season. It was the Bulldogs' second 6-1 victory in a row.
Fresno State's top two doubles teams gave the team a 1-0 lead as the 25th-ranked duo of Mayar and Rana Sherif Ahmed won 6-4 on court one and twins Anneka and Sophie Watts won 6-3 on court two. The 'Dogs then made quick work of the Matadors as five of six Fresno State singles players won in straight sets with three being the most points allowed in a set.
The Bulldogs will be back in action in Northridge, Calif., at 11 a.m. PT tomorrow as they face Hawai'i.
