Catching up with freshman forward Sharae Chalmers.
FRESNO, Calif. - GoBulldogs.com caught up with freshman forward Sharae Chalmers for our web series, "Bulldogs 5-On-5". During the days leading up to the start of fall practice, the series will feature the women's basketball team's six newcomers.

Q: What is your favorite basketball memory?
A: My senior year of high school, our first game was against a team that we should have beaten the previous year. I had double-double that game and we won!

Q: What was your first memory of playing basketball?
A: I started playing in the eighth grade and had no clue what I was doing.
Â
Q: What is the best thing that you have gotten from basketball?Â
A: Being able to push myself and that my teammates will never give up on me no matter how hard it is.

Q: What is your favorite thing about your hometown?
A: The food. I love soul food. It is the best!

Q: What will you be able to bring to the team?
A: My strong drop step that I have, and maybe some new moves that I have learned.
