LARAMIE, Wyo. – Fresno State saw its five-game win streak against Wyoming snapped on Wednesday night as the Bulldogs fell 70-48 at the Arena-Auditorium.

Fresno State kept the game close through the opening six minutes, and trailed by two after Tory Jacobs hit a jumper with 3:38 remaining in the opening quarter. From that point, the Bulldogs' shooting went cold as they made two if their next 17 shots during a 23-4 Cowgirl run. Fresno State forced three turnovers during the final 1:18 to go on a 5-0 spurt to end the half, but still trailed 33-17 at the break.

Trailing by 18 with seven minutes on the clock in the third quarter, Tory Jacobs got going, knocking down three 3's during a 15-7 run to cut its deficit to 10. Jacobs finished the quarter with 13 of her career-high 19 points.

Ten points was as close as the Bulldogs would get the rest of the way as Wyoming's Marta Gomez got loose for a 3-pointer just before the end of the third period. After missing on its first three 3's of the quarter, Wyoming connected on four straight to extend its lead to 63-44 with 7:18 to play.

How It Happened: Fresno State was held to a season-low 17 first-half points as the Bulldogs shot 8-of-29 from the field during the opening 20 minutes as Wyoming built up a 16-point lead at the half.

Team Notes:

Fresno State trailed by 16 at the half, tying its largest halftime deficit of the season (New Mexico, Dec. 29)
Fresno State's 17 points in the first half tied its lowest scoring output in a half this season (Washington, Nov. 4)
The Bulldogs dropped its first game in Laramie, Wyo., since 2014.
The loss to Wyoming snapped the Bulldogs' five-game win streak against the Cowgirls.
The loss was Jaime White's first during the month of January since taking over Fresno State.

Tory Jacobs scored a career-high 19 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including 3-of-6 from 3.
