Overall, Fresno State has had 23 international players come to the Valley, including 14 from Australia or New Zealand.
FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno State women's basketball has done its fair share of recruiting overseas. Dating back to the 1989-90 season, 23 international players have come through the Bulldog program, with one region in particular having brought the majority of the 'Dogs to the States. An astounding 14 student-athletes have come from Oceania, 13 from Australia and one current 'Dog from New Zealand, as the region has developed into the primary source of elite international talent for Fresno State over the years.
The trend began in 2002-03 when Faith Probst, out of Rowville, Victoria, Australia, came to the Valley. Probst was a four-time letterwinner and a two-time Academic All-WAC selection during her time at Fresno State.
The subsequent seasons produced the four most decorated Aussies in Fresno State women's basketball history:
Four Wonders from Down Under
Chantella Perera (2003-07) – First Team All-WAC Selection in 2006-07, 12th on the all-time scoring list with 1,234 points, eighth in career 3-point field goals made, fifth in career free throws made, second in career free throw percentage.
Hayley Munro (2007-11) – WAC All-Freshman Team in 2007-08, Second Team All-WAC in 2008-09 and 2009-10, WAC All-Tournament Team in 2010, seventh on the all-time scoring list with 1,410 points, seventh in career 3-point field goals made, tied for ninth in career 3-point percentage, third in career free throws made, tied for fifth in career free throw percentage, fourth in career rebounds.
Rosie Moult (2009-13) – WAC All-Freshman Team in 2009-10, Second Team All-WAC in 2010-11 and 2011-12, WAC All-Tournament Team in 2011 and 2012, WAC All-Defensive Team in 2011-12, Second Team All-Mountain West and MW All-Defensive Team in 2012-13, sixth on the all-time scoring list with 1,426 points, second in career 3-point field goals made, second in career steals, tied for ninth in career blocks.
Alex Sheedy (2011-15) – Third Team All-Mountain West in 2012-13, Mountain West All-Tournament Team in 2013 and 2015, All-MW and Co-Player of the Year in 2014-15, eighth on the all-time scoring list with 1,387 points, seventh in career field goals made, 10th in career free throw percentage and rebounds .

On four occasions, Fresno State's recruiting classes since 2008 have contained at least two student-athletes from Australia/New Zealand, including this season. In total, there are three 'Dogs on the 2017-18 roster from Australia/New Zealand, the most on the roster from the region since the 2012-13 season.
The lone returner and only player to join the Bulldogs from Australia's next-door neighbor is sophomore Katelin Noyer. The center from Auckland spent most of her freshman season learning, but showed potential when thrown into action. This season, the coaching staff is looking for Noyer to play big minutes and to have an expanded role for Fresno State.
Two freshmen, Bree Delaney and Genna Ogier, join the Bulldog program this year. Head Coach Jaime White has been high on both Aussies as the season draws closer, signaling both could have the opportunity to contribute right away. Ogier has spent time within Australia's national youth system and was recently rated as the No. 4 Aussie freshman playing in the NCAA this season, while Delaney was one of the top players in Sydney during her youth.Â
