'Dogs move up NCEA Farnam rankings for third straight week rising to No. 5

The Fresno State equestrian team has moved up in the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) Farnam Team Rankings for a third consecutive week moving up one spot to No. 5, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
Georgia and Texas A&M held on to their No. 1 and No. 2 rankings for the third consecutive week. Texas A&M defeated No. 7 TCU 16-3 last Thursday while Georgia did not compete.

Auburn checks in at No. 3 for the seventh consecutive ranking, dating back to this season's preseason poll. SMU remains at No. 4.

Fresno State secures its highest ranking of the season at No. 5 after South Carolina defeated then-No. 5 Oklahoma State in a thrilling 13-7 home opener victory last Friday. The Cowgirls dropped to No. 6 in the rankings after their loss to the Gamecocks.

TCU remains in the No. 7 spot after falling to No. 2 Texas A&M, 16-3. South Carolina makes its way into the top 10 at No. 8 with a 13-7 victory over then-No. 5 OSU. The last time the Gamecocks made the rankings was on Oct. 10, where they sat at No. 8.

Baylor (No. 9) and UT-Martin (No. 10) round out the top 10 for this week's rankings.

The Bulldogs return to action at the Skyhawk Invitational on Nov. 9-10Â facing No. 10 UT-Martin on Nov. 9 and No. 4 SMU the next day to wrap up their fall season.
