'Dogs open home schedule with Utah on Saturday

The Utes will make their return trip to Fresno State on Saturday morning after hosting the Bulldogs during the 2016 season.

Schedule:
Fresno State will host Utah its first home match of the season on Saturday morning. Doubles play is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. PT with singles to follow.
Looking at the matchup:
Fresno State heads into Saturday's dual match with a 1-2 record after falling 4-0 in both of its matches during the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Alabama (No. 15 Auburn, Rice), while Utah will be playing its first dual match of the spring. The Utes return five of their six singles players from a season ago while the Bulldogs are replacing four of their six.
A look back at the 2016 match:
On March 31, 2016, No. 39 Fresno State fell behind 1-0 at No. 74 Utah after losing the doubles point for only the fourth time on the year. The Bulldogs fought back in singles, claiming three of the next four points to take a 3-2 lead with two matches remaining. Galina Bykova then dropped a 6-4 third set to even the dual match. The 'Dogs then lost the match as Anneka Watts was defeated 7-1 in a third-set tiebreaker.
