GoBulldogs.com caught up with the senior before her last home competition this Friday
Couch: I chose Fresno State because I have grown up in Fresno/Clovis my whole life and staying close to home allowed me to keep riding my horses.
Q: Who has had the most influence on your athletic career and why?Couch: My trainer Danta and my reining coach have highly influenced my athletic career here at Fresno State. They have both pushed me out of my comfort zone as well and taught me various significant life lessons. I am very thankful to have such great role models in my life.
Q: What pre-meet superstitions or rituals do you have, if any?Couch: Before a meet, I run through what I need to achieve that day in my mind and visualize a successful outcome. I try to stay calm by keeping a good mindset and listening to music.
Q: What was your most memorable moment as a Bulldog?Couch: My most memorable moment as a Bulldog was receiving a championship ring with my team. Other memorable moments were beating number 1 ranked teams as well as every travel trip I have been on.
Q: What is one thing most people don't know about you?Couch: One thing most people do not know about me is that my name is not KC. K stands for Kelley and C stands for Christine.
Q: How would your teammates describe you?Couch: My teammates would describe me as outgoing and extremely genuine. They would tell you that I am always there for them and do everything with a smile.
Q: Who is your favorite athlete and why?Couch: Jenna Prandini is my favorite athlete because she went to my high school and has inspired me to work hard to pursue what I want.
Q: If you had a ride-out song, what would it be and why?Couch: If I had a ride-out song, it would be Body Like a Backroad by Sam Hunt or Electric Love by Borns because both songs put me in a good mood.
Q: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you want?Couch: My horse, chapstick and boba.
Q: What are your plans after graduation?Couch: My plans for after graduation include going to grad school or finding an internship to gain experience for a possible career.
