Brown, Gilson take home UEC Rider of the Year awards

WACO, Texas – Fresno State Equestrian's Taylor Brown has been named the United Equestrian Conference Horsemanship and Reining Rider of the Year, the conference announced Monday. Freshman Shea Gilson was also honored by the UEC as the Reining Freshman of the Year. Brown was selected to the UEC all-conference team for both events.

This season, Brown went 9-4 with six MOPs in Horsemanship and 10-3 with six MOPs in Reining heading into the postseason. Gilson owned a 6-5 record in Reining.

Last weekend, the Bulldogs fell to Delaware State in the first round of the UEC Tournament and defeated University of Tennessee-Martin in the consolation round.
