FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State equestrian head coach Eric Hubbard has announced the addition of former Bulldog student-athlete Caitlin Marshall to the Bulldogs coaching staff on Monday.
"We are very happy that Caitlin is returning to Fresno State, but this time as a coach," said Hubbard.Â
Marshall, a native of Oakdale, Calif., rode for Fresno State from 2007-2011 and was a team captain as a senior. She received the Fresno State Equestrian Teams Award of Excellence which is awarded each year to the team member who exemplifies what it means to be a Fresno State Bulldog in the classroom, arena, gym and community.
"Caitlin has a lot of experience and knowledge to add to our hunt seat team. She will bring new energy and wisdom that we are really looking forward," added Hubbard.
Prior to her time on the team, she rode as a Junior and qualified for for all of the top medal finals in California.  After graduating from Fresno State in 2011, Marshall went on to work as an assistant trainer at Pheasant Grove sale and training barn where she rode sale horses and coached many riders from their short stirrup years all the way to the medals arena. Â
"I am excited to be home and rejoin the Bulldog family," said Marshall. "I had a great four years here at Fresno State as a student-athlete and am excited to team up with Coach Hubbard and Coach Lantz to provide that same experience to our current and future student-athletes," added Marshall.
