'Dogs outlast Aggies in overtime victory 2-1

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State women's soccer team defeated UC Davis in overtime 2-1 on Thursday night.
The Bulldogs grab their second consecutive win, and earn their first overtime win of the 2017 season.
Fresno State improved to 3-2-1 on the season, and 2-1 at home.
Marina Kerrache, Megan Amick, Julia Glaser, Myra Delgadillo, Peyton Cline, Kaitlyn Crooker, Anna Crawford, Carly Bracken, Kayla Calmes and Angie Weiner led the charge for the Bulldogs, with Nicole Theroux in goal.
FIRST HALF – Both squads came out strong on offense to start the game, trading shots. UC Davis started off the half with back-to-back corner kicks. Fresno State responded with three shots in a row. The Bulldogs set the offensive tone for the last twenty minutes of the half recording nearly twice as many shots as the Aggies.
At the half, the match was tied at 0. Fresno State owned the advantage in shots (7-4) and saves (3-2). Both teams recorded two corner kicks.
SECOND HALF – Glaser scored her fourth goal of the season in the 56th minute to put Fresno State 1-0. The goal was assisted by Delgadillo and Crawford.
UC Davis responded with a goal of its own in 64th minute to tie the match 1-1. The goal was scored by Olivia Jones, assisted by Roisin Allaeddini.
Both teams tried to score a game ending goal but time expired with the scoreboard still even at one, sending the game into overtime.
After regulation, Fresno State owned the advantage in shots (9-4) and corner kicks (4-1). UC Davis recorded more saves in the second half (3-1).
OVERTIME – The Bulldogs dominated the overtime period, not allowing the Aggies to record any stats. Glaser ended the game with her second goal of the contest, off a corner kick from Cline.
Fresno State finished the game with a season-high 18 shots and with a season-high eight shots on goal. The Bulldogs held the advantage over the Aggies in shots (18-8) and corner kicks (7-3).
