LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Junior Kelli Funk placed seventh among 49 divers in the preliminary round of the platform competition on Sunday to lead Fresno State at the three-day Bruin Diving Invitational.
Funk also had the best Bulldog scores on 3-meter on Saturday while redshirt sophomore Irina Nikolaeva was the top 'Dog on 1-meter on the first day of competition on Friday. The Bulldogs were one of 12 schools with divers in the meet including Pac-12 programs UCLA, USC, Stanford, Cal, and Utah

- In the 1-meter event on Friday, Nikolaeva qualified for the final with a 240.80 in the preliminary round. She improved her score to 242.20 in the final to place 17th overall. Funk and Serena Sedillo were 24th and 32nd, respectively, in the field of 55.
- Nikolaeva did not compete on Saturday while Funk led the 'Dogs scoring 230.10 to place 28th on 3-meter. Sedillo finished 40th in the prelims.
- Funk scored 235.95 to place seventh in the prelims on platform and reach the final. She had a 219.35 in the final to finish eighth overall. Sedillo was 43rd in the preliminary round while Nikolaeva also missed Sunday's action.
- The Bulldogs will conclude the regular season hosting San Jose State in a home dual on Jan. 27 at noon. Seniors Katelin Britton, Vanessa Dugan, Casey Kennemann, and Ally Short will be honored for their final home meet.
