Trio of Bulldogs earn UEC Riders of the Week honors

A trio of Fresno State equestrian riders were named United Equestrian Conference Riders of the Week on Monday.
WACO, Texas - A trio of Fresno State equestrian riders were named United Equestrian Conference Riders of the Week on Monday after their performances over the weekend at the Willis Invitational.

EQUITATION ON THE FLAT RIDER OF THE WEEK

- Went 2-1 for the Bulldogs on the road at the Willis Invitational.
- Earned a 63-59 victory over her opponent from UT Martin.
- Picked up a 68-64 victory over her Delaware State opponent.
HORSEMANSHIP RIDER OF THE WEEK
Nicole Campbell • Fresno State • RSo.
- Went 2-1 for the Bulldogs on the road at the Willis Invitational, while also winning two MOPs.
- Defeated her UT Martin opponent, 76-74. Her score (76) was the highest horsemanship score of the meet and she was named MOP.
- Won her second MOP of the weekend with a 71-68.5 victory over her Delaware State opponent.
- Her 2.5-point margin of victory was the largest margin of victory by a horsemanship rider during the meet.
REINING RIDER OF THE WEEK
Paige Barton • Fresno State • Jr.
- Posted a 2-1 record for the Bulldogs on the road at the Willis Invitational.
- Earned a 68.5-64 victory over her UT Martin opponent.
- Her score (68.5) against UT Martin tied the event-high score and her 4.5-point margin of victory was the largest margin of victory by a reiner during the meet.
- Won her point against Delaware State, 69-68.
