Fox and Delgado top finishers for Fresno State in San Diego.

SAN DIEGO – The Fresno State cross country teams were in action on Friday morning at the Mountain West Championships at Morley Field at Balboa Park. The Bulldogs were paced by a pair of freshman as Sydney Fox was the top finisher on the women's side while Ronaldo Delgado led the men.

Fox, who has led the Bulldogs in the last two meets, finished 29^th overall in the 6K with a time of 22:04.2 in a highly-completive field that featured two of the top three teams in the country. Ellie Leather was Fresno State's second finisher at 23:25.3. As a team, the 'Dogs finished ninth.

Delgado claimed the top spot for the Bulldog men for the first time this season, completing the 8K in 27:07.9. Matthew Founds was not too far off of his teammate's pace, finishing at 27:39.4. As a team, the Bulldogs finished eighth.
