FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno State won four individual events, including wins in both the 100 and 200 Back from senior Ugne Mazutaityte, but the Bulldogs came up short in a 182-112 loss against MW rival Nevada on Saturday at the Fresno State Aquatics Center.

FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno State won four individual events, including wins in both the 100 and 200 Back from senior Ugne Mazutaityte, but the Bulldogs came up short in a 182-112 loss against MW rival Nevada on Saturday at the Fresno State Aquatics Center.

Swimming Highlights
- Mazutaityte picked up her first win in the 100 Back, narrowly beating Nevada's Jamie Reynolds in 56.71. In the 200 Back, Mazutaityte touched first in 2:00.59. Stephanie Bartel finished fourth in both backstroke events.
- Diaz Martinez claimed the first individual event as she touched in 10:15.06 to win the 1000 Free by more than seven seconds with Zofia Niemczak placing second. Diaz Martinez also had the 'Dogs top times in the 500 Free (5:00.69) and the 400 IM (4:24.65), placing second in both races.
- The 'Dogs had three of the top four finishers in the both the 100 Breast and 200 Breast. Mendolicchio won the 200 Breast by more than three second in 2:15.46 with Lucy Davies placing third and Emileigh Stock taking fourth. In the 100 Breast, Mendolicchio took second, Davies was third, and Jannae Torres placed fourth.
- Kimberly Harbert led Fresno State with second place finishes in both the 100 Fly (56.40) and 200 Fly (2:02.61) with Niemczak fourth in both
- Osianna McReed led the Bulldogs in the 50 Free, placing third in 24.01, and took third in the 100 Free in 54.04.
- In the 200 Medley Relay, the Fresno State 'A' team comprised of Mazutaityte, Mendolicchio, Harbert, and McReed placed second in 1:44.77. The Fresno State 'A' team placed third in the 400 Free Relay to close the meet.
- With both teams nursing injuries, just three total divers competed in the 1-meter and 3-meter events on Saturday.
- Fresno State senior Kelli Funk placed third on both boards, scoring 235.43 on 1-meter and 255.98 on 3-meter. Nevada's two competing divers took the top two spots on both boards.

What's Next
- The 'Dogs host another home meet next Saturday as they will host Fresno Pacific and Pomona-Pitzer in the Aquatics Center at noon.
