- The Bulldogs, coming off their first double-digit win season since 2013, will look to become the first Fresno State team to win double-digit games in back-to-back seasons since the 1988-89 seasons on Saturday.
- Fresno State clinched its fourth West Division title in six years and will travel to face the winner of Saturday's Utah State at Boise State matchup.
- The Bulldog football program returned to the top 25 in week 13, checking in at No. 23 in the Amway Coaches poll. Fresno State is receiving the 26th-most votes in the AP Top 25.
- Fresno State will face San Jose State for the 82nd time in program history on Saturday. It is the longest running series the Bulldogs have, with the next longest being San Diego State having played the 58th game of that series last week.
- Fresno State and San Jose State play for a rivalry trophy. It is called the Valley Trophy.
- San Jose State's last win on the road was against Fresno State on Nov. 26, 2016. They are currently on a 12-game skid.
- KeeSean Johnson leads the nation in consecutive games with at least one catch (47) and is also the nation's leader in active career receptions (260).
- Johnson needs 128 yards to become the programs all-time leader in receiving yards.
- Fresno State has scored on its opening possession of the second half in five straight games and are outscoring opponents 133-21 in the third quarter this season.
- Fresno State did not turn the ball over in a game for the sixth time this season last week and has turned the ball over one time in the last six games.
- Fresno State will honor 27 seniors and one junior prior to Saturday's regular season finale.
