The Red Raiders were the fourth consecutive top 50 opponent for the Bulldogs.
FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State women's tennis team played host on Saturday to the highest ranked opponent to come to Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center during head coach Ryan Stotland's tenure. The third top 10 opponent of the season, No. 9 Texas Tech was too much for Fresno State, defeating the Bulldogs 4-0.

The Red Raiders two nationally ranked doubles teams gave them the first point of the day, as the top match of the day between No. 14 Sabrina Federici and Sarah Dvorak and No. 27 Emma Wilson and Georgia Lawson went Texas Tech's way, 6-1. After dropping five of six fist sets in singles play Fresno State appeared be making a push in the second set on two of those courts. With a third set looming on three courts, Texas Tech clinched the match with three straight set wins at the No. 1, No. 5 and No. 6 positions.

Fresno State will head to Southern California next weekend for a pair of neutral site matches, facing Dartmouth on March 17 in La Jolla and Gonzaga the following day in Los Angeles.
