Pair of Bulldogs named UEC February Riders of the Month

A pair of Bulldogs from the Fresno State equestrian team have earned United Equestrian Conference (UEC) February Riders of the Month honors. Senior Rachel Williams earned her honors in Horsemanship while sophomore Paige Barton picked up honors in reining.
This is the second monthly honor for Williams after earning UEC honors for Horsemanship as a junior in February 2017 while it is also the second time Barton has been honored in her career after being named the September UEC Rider of the Month for reining earlier this season. Barton was also honored in September 2017 by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) as the September Reining Rider of the Month.
The 'Dogs are back in action on March 30-31 at the UEC Championships hosted by SMU in Dallas, Texas at the Dallas Equestrian Center.
Fresno State's UEC February Riders of the Month
Horsemanship Rider of the Month: Rachel Williams, Fresno State
- Posted a 2-2 record in Horsemanship during the month of February.Â
- Averaged a score of 75.25 during the month of February in Horsemanship.
- Earned a pair of MVP honors.Â
- Posted a 4-0 record in Reining during the month of February.Â
- Earned an MVP honor in her win against an opponent from fourth-ranked Texas A&M.Â
- Averaged a score of 68.5 during the month of February in Reining.
