Fresno State tops Dartmouth 5-2 in La Jolla

LA JOLLA, Calif. – Competing in a neutral site match at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club, Fresno State ended its skid with a 5-2 win over Dartmouth.
With the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches splitting, the opening point hinged on Court 1. The Bulldogs' No. 27-ranked team of Emma Wilson and Georgia Lawson pulled out a tiebreak win, 7-6(3), to give their team the early advantage.
Ndindi Ndunda helped maintain the early lead with a 6-2, 6-1 win on Court 3 to keep Fresno State ahead 2-1. Dartmouth though leveled the match at No. 2. With the remaining three matches heading into third sets, the Bulldogs claimed all three with Juliane Triebe and Alessia Dario winning 6-2 in the final set and Wilson winning 7-6(4) to give the Bulldogs the match.
Fresno State will remain away from home next weekend as the 'Dogs head Utah. The Bulldogs will face Utah in Salt Lake City on March 23 at 12:30 p.m. PT and BYU in Provo the following day at 11 a.m. PT.
