Fresno State bests Presbyterian College, 20-10

CLINTON, S.C. – The Fresno State women's lacrosse team defeated Presbyterian College 20-10 on the road for its second consecutive road win, Monday afternoon. Sophomore Tiffiny Wallace let the Bulldogs with four goals in the contest.
Fresno State improves to 7-4 on the season.
Marina Mayo and Nicole Ortlieb notched hat tricks. Sarah Bloise, Lauren Kiszely and Megan Walaitis scored two goals apiece. Jordyn Pandolfo, Ryleigh Bone, Mackenzie Wallevand and Kayla Galet scored one goal each to round out scoring for the Bulldogs.
FIRST HALF
Wallace, Mayo, Ortlieb, Bloise, Bone, Wallevand, Galet, Hannah Krats, Lindsay Hobson, Olivia Mannon, Abigail Bergevin and Kennedy Mulvaney chalked the start for Fresno State, with Laurel Maunder in the goal.
Fresno State opened the game on a 3-0 run, scoring the three goals were scored in the first two minutes of the contest.
The Blue Hose scored its first goal with 25:05 left in the half.
The Bulldogs pulled away after scoring four consecutive goals to take an 8-2 lead.
Presbyterian stopped the run with a goal to make it an 8-3 game with 17:22 left in the half.
Fresno State responded by holding Presbyterian scoreless for 15 minutes, allowing the Bulldogs to score six consecutive goals, sparked by two goals from Walaitis.
The Blue Hose would score once more the 30 minutes would expire, making it a 14-4 game at the half.
SECOND HALF
The Blue Hose opened up scoring in the second half with 29:03 left in the half. Fresno State responded with back-to-back goals from Wallace and Pandolfo.
Fresno State and Presbyterian exchanged goals throughout the remainder of the game, but the Bulldogs lead was too immense to overcome.
NOTABLE STATS
Fresno State owned the advantage in shots (29-20) and draw controls (22-9). Both teams recorded 21 ground balls and four saves.
Tiffiny Wallace led the Bulldogs on offense with four goals, two assists and six points. On defense, Olivia Mannon notched seven draw controls and one caused turnover. Laurel Maunder and Natalie Chaffin split time in the goal, both recording two saves apiece.
