Fresno State Points
- Facing arguably its toughest schedule since under head coach Ryan Stotland, Fresno State enters a conference tournament with a below .500 record for the first time since 2011. That season the Bulldogs won the Western Athletic Conference tournament championship.
- Fresno State finished 3-1 in Mountain West play for the second season in a row to earn the No. 2 seed this week. The Bulldogs have not been seeded outside of the top two since winning the conference tournament in 2014.
- Emma Wilson and Katerina Stloukalova each landed on the All- MW singles team for the season straight year while Juliane Triebe made her first appearance. Wilson and Georgia Lawson earned their second consecutive inclusion on the All-MW doubles team.
- The Bulldogs earned three All-Mountain West singles team selections for the third time since the conference moved to an 11-team league. Only one other school has done that feat once since the realignment.
- While not the No. 1 seed, Fresno State grabbed more All-MW singles team selections than top-seeded UNLV. It is the fifth time in Mountain West history that the top seed did not receive the most singles team honorees, and only the second time during the 16 years.Â
Inside the Numbers
-Â Â Â Â All 12 losses in 2018 came to teams in the top 70 of the ITA rankings.
