
Ten Bulldog Equestrian student-athletes earn Farnam NCEA All-Academic honors

Ten members of the Fresno State Equestrian team earned Farnam NCEAÂ All-Academic honors as announced by the organization on Thursday morning.
WACO, Texas - Ten members of the Fresno State Equestrian team earned Farnam NCEAÂ All-Academic honors as announced by the organization on Thursday morning.
"It is a great honor for our student-athletes to be recognized by the NCEA for their hard work in the classroom," said head coach Eric Hubbard.
Four Bulldogs garnered Farnam NCEA First-Team All-Academic honors as seniors Taylor Dixon and Rachel Williams along with sophomores Paige Barton and Natalie Wendt each competed in a minimum of 70 percent of the 'Dogs meets this season and all four have earned a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.5 while maintaining full-time enrollment the last two semesters.
Three Bulldogs were selected to the Farnam NCEA Second-Team All-Academic team as juniors Katelyn Altenhofel and Brooke Nelson along with sophomore Julia Kelly each competed in a minimum of 60 percent of the 'Dogs meets this season and each earned a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.25 while maintaining full-time enrollment the last two semesters.
Finally, three 'Dogs collected Farnam NCEAÂ Honorable Mention honors as senior Kylina Chalack, junior Kara Gustafson and sophomore Shea Gilson each competed in a minimum of 50 percent of the 'Dogs meets this season and each earned a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 while maintaining full-time enrollment the last two semesters.
The APHA Academic Honor Roll will be announced on April 11 while Fresno State will be back in competition at the 2018 NCEAÂ National Championship on Wednesday, April 18 in Waco, Texas at the Extraco Events Center.
