'Dogs fall to Titans, 3-0

FULLERTON, Calif. – The Fresno State women's soccer team ended its weekend road trip with a 3-0 loss to CSU Fullerton, Sunday night.
Fresno State falls to 1-3-1 on the season, 1-2 on the road.
FIRST HALF
Tori Nicolo, Chloe Chedester, Megan Amick, Alyssa Nishikawa, Melissa Ellis, Maria Gomez, Kasidee Wiley, Robyn McCarthy, Emma Chivers and Danielle Pacheco chalked the start with Nicole Theroux in the box.
CSUF struck first with a goal in the 12th minute, putting the Titans on the board with a goal from Nano Oronoz. The Titans would extend its lead to 2-0 in the 29th minute, when Alyssa Shelton scored on a through ball.
In the first half, CSUF out-shot Fresno State (9-3), recorded more corner kicks (5-2) and saves (1-0).
SECOND HALF
The Titans held the momentum on offense in the second half. CSUF took a 3-0 lead in the 67th minute when Atlanta Primus scored from the top of the box.
After 90 minutes of play, the Titans owned the advantage in shots (14-4), corner kicks (7-5) and saves (2-0).
NOTABLES
Fresno State returns home to host UC Santa Barbara on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 4 p.m. PT in the Soccer and Lacrosse Stadium.
