FRESNO, Calif. – As fans get ready to return to Bulldog Stadium after a 28 day break from the season-opener, GoBulldogs.com is sharing a few tips to prepare fans for the best game day experience on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. against Toledo from the Mid-American conference.

The following adjustments have been made to the stadium gates to expedite the entrance process while maintaining security standards:

March to Victory
Coach Tedford will lead the Bulldogs on their "March to Victory" starting at 4:50 p.m. The entire team will depart their meal room and make a loop around the west side of the stadium, walking through the tailgate area of the white lot and engage with the fans. The team will re-enter the stadium and march from the north end zone to the south end zone (before stadium gates open) and finish walking through the blue lot before entering the locker room to dress out. The walk will take the team 15 minutes.
"Anytime you can interact with the fans, especially before a game, fans have an effect on players and if they can walk through there and get a lot of positive energy and support from the fans, I think that makes the players feel really good about what they're getting ready to get into," Coach Tedford said about the march. "Everywhere I've been where it's been like that, it's been a lot of fun and a motivator for the players and the fans."
More for Sept. 29 ...Â
Local teachers score big with Bulldog Football on Sept. 29th
Through a partnership with the College Football Playoff Foundation, the Fresno State Athletics department will take part in the foundation's Extra Yard for Teachers program to honor local teachers at the Bulldogs' Sept. 29 contest against Toledo. Teachers from five different classrooms each won a grand prize of $500 in gift cards to purchase school supplies, a Bulldog prize package and 100 tickets for their students and family members to attend the Sept. 29th home football game in addition to being honored on the field in front of the entire Red Wave crowd at Bulldog Stadium. Ten runners-up each won $125 in gift cards to purchase school supplies, a Bulldog prize package and 10 tickets to attend the game. Winners were selected randomly by drawing from all submitted nominations. The more nominations a teacher received, the more chances they had to win. The Fresno State football team will thank teachers in our community that make a difference by wearing "Extra Yard" helmet stickers during the Toledo game.
AgFest
Seen the Green V on the back of the players' helmets? That symbolizes the pride of the Valley. Fresno State is only FBS program in the San Joaquin Valley, which is the most productive agricultural region in the world and this program celebrates its farming community annually with AgFest. Farming in California is a $50 billion industry, and the Valley is the lion's share of that. Fresno State plays a large role in preparing futures in the field, with that the University has an on-campus farm with crops and animals, and the Gibson Farm Market sells a lot of what those students produce: milk, ice cream, raisins, grapes, almonds, etc.
During Saturday's game in partnership with the Jordan College of Agricultural Sciences & Technology, students will be celebrated throughout the game. Ag Facts will be peppered in between breaks throughout the game, over 15 groups from different Future Farmers of America (FFA) groups will take over sections 17-18, there will be a corn eating contest (using the famous sweet corn from the Fresno State Gibson Farm market) at halftime and patrons will be able to use their game tickets at the Fresno State Gibson Farm market for 2 free ears of corn (while supplies last) on Sunday.
SpiritFest
Over 250 of our future Bulldog Spirit leaders will perform at halftime for the Red Wave. Each year all these youthful Bulldog fans get together and practice all day with our current Spirit Leaders to prepare for your half-time entertainment.
