Hanna Cavinder tabbed MW Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fresno State's Hanna Cavinder was named Mountain West Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday morning. The freshman scored or assisted on a team season-high 43 points in the Bulldogs' win over La Verne last Thursday.
The freshman from Gilbert, Arizona scored a season-high 26 points while shooting a season-best 73.3 percent from the field (11-of-15). It was her fourth 20-point outing, the second most in the conference this season. The Bulldogs' leading distributor also had seven assists on the night, her third straight game with seven or more. The 5-foot-6 guard added three steals to her line, taking all three the other way for layups.
This is the first weekly honor of Cavinder's career. She is only the third freshman to earn the weekly award in the last seven seasons.
