Bulldogs to host pair of Pac-12 opponents this week

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State women's tennis team returns to the court for a pair of matches against Pac-12 opponents on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Bulldogs welcome Utah to Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center on Tuesday at 11 a.m. PT and Washington State on Wednesday at 1 p.m. PT.
Fresno State enters the week with a 6-5 overall record. The 'Dogs are coming off a 3-0 week with two decisive wins over Fresno City College and a hard-fought 4-3 win over BYU that saw the Bulldogs rally from 3-1 down. Freshman Jennifer Timotin captured the final point of the dual with a 7-5 win in a tense third set.

SCOUTING THE UTES
Utah enters Tuesday's match with an 8-3 record. The Utes have one eight of their last 10 matches with their only losses coming to No. 17 NC State (7-0) and No. 7 Washington (4-3). Utah is 1-1 in true road matches with a 4-3 win at Wisconsin and the aforementioned defeat at NC State.
Last week:Â Utah started last week with a 7-0 win over Western Michigan before opening Pac-12 play over the weekend on its home courts. The Utes split the matches, defeating Washington State 4-3 before narrowly falling to Washington.
Series history:Â Fresno State holds a 5-4 lead over the Utes all-time but Utah has claimed the last three duals.

Washington State is 13-4 on the year. The Cougars are 6-4 in true road matches.
