- Fresno State has won 10 of its last 12 games and earned a MW series win last weekend at UNLV. The 'Dogs won the last two games in Las Vegas, including a come-from-behind 5-3 win last Sunday.
- The Bulldogs split a home doubleheader with Sacramento State on Wednesday with both teams recording a shutout. Hailey Dolcini allowed just one hit while going the distance in a 4-0 win.
- Rachel Minogue is the toughest player to strike out in NCAA Div. I, having struck out just one time in 115 official at-bats this season. She is also tied for second in the MW hitting .400 with 33 RBIs.
- Hayleigh Galvan and Danielle Lung were named MW Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively. Galvan hit the winning homer in the UNLV finale and Lung didn't allow an earned run in 10 innings.
- Fresno State is 15-3 at home this season, outscoring the opposition 96-32. The Bulldogs lead all 20 NCAA Div. I schools, including No. 1 UCLA, averaging 1,062 fans per home game this season.
- Fresno State's first four MW series have come against the top four teams in the current league standings. Nevada enters the weekend series tied for second in the MW with a 6-3 league record.
- 21 - Wins and zero losses this season for the 'Dogs when scoring first, including a 12-0 record when scoring in the 1st inning
- 17 - Consecutive innings without allowing an earned run for Danielle Lung in her last three pitching appearances
- 99 - All-time Mountain West victories for Fresno State, against just 46 losses, since joining the conference in 2013
- Nevada has earned MW series wins over Utah State and New Mexico but lost 2-of-3 games at home last week against San Diego State. The Wolf Pack are 6-6 on the road this season.
- The Pack was picked sixth in the MW preseason poll after finishing 27-27 overall and 12-12 in conference play last year. The team returned eight starters and lost just one pitcher from 2018.
- Nevada leads the MW in batters struck out as Kendall Fritz has 97 strikeouts to go with a team-leading 2.66 ERA and an 8-5 record. Kenzi Goins leads the team hitting .383 with seven homers.
- The Wolf Pack are hitting .300 as a team with a 3.21 team ERA. They have 63 doubles and rank ninth in Div. I with 1.80 doubles per game and are third in the MW in slugging percentage.
- Nevada won the last two games of a season-ending series with the 'Dogs last year in Reno. Fresno State is 47-19 all-time vs. Nevada but has dropped the last two series meetings.
- Fresno State has won 10 of its last 12 games and had a MW series win at UNLV, which was receiving votes in both national polls and had been 14-2 at home this season.
- Over the last 12 games the 'Dogs have hit .345 as a team while averaging 5.4 runs per game. The pitchers have combined for a 1.58 ERA and .210 opposing batting averaging with just 18 earned runs allowed in 80.0 innings.
- Miranda Rohleder is hitting .552 over the last 12 games while Rachel Minogue has hit .472 and driven in 15 runs during the stretch. Danielle Lung is 6-1 with a 0.87 ERA, earning the W in six of the 10 Bulldog victories.
- Rachel Minogue is the toughest player to strike out in NCAA Div. I, having struck out just one time in 115 official at-bats this season.
- Minogue is one of just four qualified hitters in Div. I with only one strikeout this year and has the most at-bats among the group, with Loyola Chicago's Shannon McGee second with one K in 104 official at-bats.
- Minogue's only strikeout this year came at No. 1 UCLA in Megan Faraimo's 5-inning no-hitter. She has just one strikeout in 131 total plate appearances this year after striking out just six times all last year.
- Minogue is also tied for second in the MW with a .400 season batting average and is fourth in the league with 33 RBIs.
- Fresno State is 15-3 at home this season with 10 more home games to play.
- In 18 home game the Bulldogs have hit .346 with 43 extra-base hits and scored 96 runs while also going 28-for-34 in stolen base attempts.Â
- The Fresno State pitchers have combined for a 1.49 ERA and .195 opposing batting average at home while allowing just 26 earned runs over 122.0 innings. All three pitchers have ERA's below 2.35 this season at Margie Wright Diamond.
- Freshman Danielle Lung has gone 17.0 innings without allowing an earned run. She has permitted just 15 hits and struck out 10 over her last 17.0 innings pitched with four unearned runs allowed in her last three appearances.
- Lung went 2-0 in the UNLV series and had won 10 consecutive decisions before a loss against Sacramento State on Wednesday.
- Lung, who ranks third in the MW with a .227 opposing batting average this year, threw her first 7-inning complete game of the year against the Hornets and permitted just seven hits and three unearned runs.
- Fresno State's first four MW series have come against the top four teams in the current league standings.
- Colorado State is in first place, San Jose State and Nevada (this week's opponent) are tied for second, and UNLV is fourth. They are the only four schools with winning MW records
- Freshman McKenzie Wilson leads the MW with 23 stolen bases this year, already tied for the sixth most stolen bases in a season in program history. She is just 11 steals shy of the single-season program record of 34, set by Brenna Moss twice in 2013 and 2014.
- Wilson has had at least one stolen base in 13 of the last 23 games with two steals in five different games.
- She also leads the team with 32 runs scored and five 3-hit games and is hitting .368 with a .431 on-base percentage this year.Â
- Fresno State is undefeated at 21-0 this season when scoring first.
- The 'Dogs are 12-0 when leading after the first inning, 19-0 when leading after the second inning, and 20-0 when leading after the fifth inning.
- The Bulldogs have just two losses this season in games in which they held a lead at any point.
- Fresno State swept the Mountain West Player and Pitcher of the Week awards as junior Hayleigh Galvan and freshman Danielle Lung, respectively, earned the weekly honors announced by the conference on Tuesday.
- Lung received the Pitcher of the Week selection for the second time this season while Galvan earned the award for the first time.
- Lung joins teammate Hailey Dolcini as a two-time winner as the 'Dogs have now had the conference Pitcher of the Week in four of 10 total weeks this season while no other team has won more than two such honors.
- Galvan was 5-for-10 last week and hit the go-ahead 3-run homer in the seventh inning in the series finale on Sunday. Lung did not allow an earned run over 10.0 innings pitched and picked up both Bulldog victories.
- Senior Jade Nua reached base in 23 consecutive games before failing to reach in the first game vs. Sacramento State. She had the longest reached-base streak by a Bulldog since Kierra Willis reached in 27 straight games in 2016.
- Nua made her first start as a Bulldog against North Dakota on March 8 and hasn't left the starting lineup since, as over the last 25 games she is hitting .350 with two home runs, 12 RBIs, and 12 runs with a .500 on-base percentage.
- Nua ranks second in the MW with a .488 season on-base percentage and she also leads the league with 10 hit-by-pitches.
- Fresno State is second in the MW and ranks 28th in NCAA Div. I with a .401 team on-base percentage this year. The 'Dogs have a .438 OBP over 18 home games.
- Six Bulldog starters have on-base percentages better than .400 while three have .450+ OBPs this year.
- As a team the Bulldogs finished fifth in NCAA Div. I with a .410 on-base percentage last year.
- The Red Wave has averaged 1,062 fans per game over the first 18 Bulldog home games. That average is the highest among all 20 Div. I schools in California (including No. 1 UCLA), second highest among all non-Power-5 schools, and 15th most in all of NCAA Div. I.
- No other MW team has averaged more than 454 fans per game this year, less than half of the 'Dogs average. Fresno State has averaged more than 1,000 fans per game for 26 consecutive seasons.
- The Red Wave averaged 1,071 fans per game last season, the most in California and the 15th highest attendance average in the nation. The 'Dogs total attendance of 27,853 fans was 16th most in Div. I.
- Miranda Rohleder has reached base in 14 straight games, hitting .486 with a .600 on-base percentage during the stretch, and has reached in 25 of the last 26 games.
- Rohleder leads the team and is tied for second in the MW with 25 walks and is fourth in the league with a .480 on-base percentage.
- The junior second baseman was nearly unstoppable in the Fresno State Invitational, going 11-for-15 (.733) with a .789 on-base percentage and 1.000 slugging percentage with a triple and two doubles. In two games on Mar. 30 she hit a perfect 7-for-7.
- Fresno State won 15 straight non-conference games prior to dropping the opener of the Sacramento State doubleheader and is 22-7 in non-conference games this year (22-4 vs. non top-10 teams with two loses vs. No. 1 UCLA).
- The Bulldogs have one non-conference game remaining on the schedule as they will host Stanford on April 23.
- Fresno State has just four pitchers on its roster and one is redshirting, but the other three have all made big contributions this season and have combined for a MW-leading four Pitcher of the Week awards this year.
- Sophomore transfer Hailey Dolcini has led the staff in her first season as a Bulldog, posting an 11-5 record and 2.27 ERA overall while ranking third in the MW with 90 strikeouts. As a starter she is 11-3 with a 1.51 ERA this year and the team has won 12 of her 15 starts.
- Sophomore Danielle East, who was an All-MW selection last season, has four wins and a save this year and has pitched particularly well in relief, going 2-1 with a save and a 1.44 ERA with a .160 opposing batting average in 12 relief appearances.
- Freshman Danielle Lung leads the team and ranks third in the MW with a .227 opposing batting average. She win 10 consecutive decisions and is 10-2 on the season while being named MW Pitcher of the Week twice.
- Fresno State has won exactly 17 home games in each of the last three seasons and has had a winning home record in all 41 years of the program's existence.
- Fresno State is 924-242-1 all-time at home playing in its 42nd season, winning over 79% of its home games in the program's storied history.
