- Fresno State has won two straight MW series and five of its last seven MW games. The Bulldogs have won 12 of their last 15 games overall, hitting .335 with a 1.75 team ERA during the stretch.
- Hailey Dolcini was named MW Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season on Tuesday. She threw two complete game shutouts last week, allowing just five hits and one walk in 14.0 innings.
- The Bulldogs have won five of 10 total MW Pitcher of the Week awards this season, including three straight. Hailey Dolcini has won the award three times and Danielle Lung has received it twice.
- Freshman McKenzie Wilson leads the 'Dogs in batting average (.378), stolen bases (26), and runs scored (35). She leads the MW in steals and is just eight shy of the single-season program record.
- Fresno State leads the MW and is tied for 23rd in NCAA Div. I with 11 shutouts this season. The 'Dogs have pitched six shutouts over the last 14 games and have the most since the 2015 season.
- Utah State ranks last in the Mountain West allowing 7.5 runs per game with a 6.78 team ERA in conference play. Fresno State outscored Utah State 25-5 in a three-game home sweep last season.
- Utah State was swept in a MW series at Boise State last week while giving up at least 10 runs in each game and 32 total runs. The Aggies were also swept at Colorado State earlier this year but split two games with UNLV and won two of three in a home series vs. New Mexico.
- The Aggies are hitting .284 on the year and are fourth in the MW in runs in league games but have a 6.20 season ERA and a 6.78 ERA in the MW, allowing 7.5 runs per game in conference.
- Utah State leads the league with 21 home runs in MW games and freshman Lexi Orozco leads the conference with 10 home runs and is tied for fifth with 35 RBIs this year while hitting .366.
- The Aggies are tied for last in NCAA Div. I with just seven stolen bases in 10 attempts this year.
- Fresno State swept Utah State in Fresno last season, outscoring the Aggies 25-5 over the three games, but Utah State won both games in a rain-shortened series in Logan in 2017.
- Fresno State has won two straight MW series and five of its last seven conference games.
- The Bulldogs won 2-of-3 games against both UNLV and Nevada, who both currently sit in the top-four in the MW standings.
- The first four MW series for the Bulldogs came against the top four teams in the current standings and the only four teams that enter the week with winning conference records.
- Bulldog pitchers have been named MW Pitcher of the Week five times over the first 10 weeks of the 2019 season.
- Sophomore Hailey Dolcini earned the honor for the third time this week and freshman Danielle Lung has received the award twice.
- The 'Dogs have won the award for three straight weeks and Dolcini is the first MW pitcher to receive three Pitcher of the Week honors in one season since former Bulldog Jill Compton got the accolade six times in 2015.
- The 'Dogs have won 12 of their last 15 games overall, including a seven-game win streak.
- Over the last 15 games the Bulldogs have hit .335 as a team while averaging 5.5 runs per game. The pitchers have combined for a 1.75 ERA and .205 opposing batting averaging with just 25 earned runs allowed in 100.0 innings.
- Four Bulldogs are hitting .400 or better in the stretch and pitchers Hailey Dolcini and Danielle Lung both have ERAs under 1.50.
- With six shutout wins over the last 14 games Fresno State now leads the MW with 11 shutouts this season.
- Hailey Dolcini has five complete game shutouts and has pitched in seven total shutouts to lead the team.
- The Bulldogs, who have been shutout offensively only five times this year, tallied just seven shutouts all of last season and have recorded the most shutouts in a season since the 2015 team finished with 14.
- Rachel Minogue is the sixth-toughest player to strike out in NCAA Div. I, having struck out just twice in 125 official at-bats this season.
- Minogue previously ranked as the toughest player to strike out with just one K over her first 118 at-bats of the year before striking out for just the second time last Saturday.
- Minogue went 31 games between strikeouts and has just two strikeouts in 142 total plate appearances this year after striking out just six times all last year.
- Minogue is also second on the team hitting .376 this year and is tied for the team lead with 35 RBIs.
- Freshman McKenzie Wilson leads the MW with 26 stolen bases this year, already the fifth most stolen bases in a season in program history. She is just eight steals shy of the single-season program record of 34, set by Brenna Moss twice in 2013 and 2014.
- Wilson has had at least one stolen base in 16 of the last 26 games with two steals in six different games.
- She also leads the team hitting .378 and with 35 runs scored as well as six 3-hit games. She has reached base in nine straight games hitting .467 and 6-for-6 in steals during the stretch.Â
- Fresno State is undefeated at 23-0 this season when scoring first.
- The 'Dogs are 13-0 when leading after the first inning, 21-0 when leading after the second inning, and 21-0 when leading after the fifth inning.
- The Bulldogs have just two losses this season in games in which they held a lead.Â
- Hailey Dolcini earned her third MW Pitcher of the Week award on Tuesday after tossing two complete game shutouts last week, allowing just five hits and one walk with 13 strikeouts over 14.0 scoreless innings pitched.
- For the season Dolcini ranks second in the MW in ERA (2.11), third in strikeouts (96) and wins (12), and fourth in opposing batting average (.229).
- In 16 starts this season the sophomore transfer is 12-3 with a 1.39 ERA and .205 opposing batting average. Fresno State has won 13 of Dolcini's first 16 starts as a Bulldog and she is 8-1 with a 0.82 ERA at home.
- Fresno State is second in the MW and ranks 23rd in NCAA Div. I with a .404 team on-base percentage this year.
- Six Bulldog starters have on-base percentages better than .400 while four have .450+ OBPs this year.
- As a team the Bulldogs finished fifth in NCAA Div. I with a .410 on-base percentage last year.Â
- Freshman Danielle Lung leads the MW with a .218 opposing batting average this season, allowing just 74 hits in 90.1 innings pitched.
- Lung had a streak of 22.0 consecutive innings pitched without allowing an earned run, permitting just 16 hits over the stretch spanning five appearances.
- Lung won 10 consecutive decisions before a loss against Sacramento State last Wednesday and is 11-3 on the season with one save.
- Senior Jade Nua leads the MW with 12 hit-by-pitches this season, tied for the fourth most HBPs in program history and just two shy of the single-season record.
- After seeing limited action last year, Nua made her first start as a Bulldog against North Dakota on March 8 and hasn't left the starting lineup since, as she is hitting .313 and leading the team with a .478 on-base percentage.
- Nua reached base in 23 consecutive games before failing to reach in the first game vs. Sacramento State. She had the longest reached-base streak by a Bulldog since Kierra Willis reached in 27 straight games in 2016.
- Bulldog senior center fielder Vanessa Hernandez leads the MW and is tied for seventh in NCAA Div. I with 16 doubles this year, tied for the sixth most doubles in a season in program history.
- Hernandez also leads Fresno State with six home runs and is tied for the team lead with 35 RBIs. She has driven in multiple runs in 11 games this year with 10 multi-hit games.
- Fresno State is 17-4 at home this season with still seven more home games to play. The 2019 'Dogs have equaled the most home wins since the 2015 team went 20-6 at home.
- In 21 home game the Bulldogs have hit .338 with 51 extra-base hits and scored 113 runs while also going 32-for-38 in stolen base attempts.Â
- The Fresno State pitchers have combined for a 1.63 ERA and .193 opposing batting average at home as all three pitchers have ERA's below 2.70 this season at Margie Wright Diamond.
- The Red Wave has averaged 1,063 fans per game over the first 21 Bulldog home games. That average is the highest among all 20 Div. I schools in California (including No. 2 UCLA), third highest among all non-Power-5 schools, and 16th most in all of NCAA Div. I.
- Fresno State's total of 22,342 fans this season is the 11th highest in the nation and second among non-Power-5s.
- No other MW team has averaged more than 454 fans per game this year, less than half of the 'Dogs average. Fresno State has averaged more than 1,000 fans per game for 26 consecutive seasons.Â
- Miranda Rohleder reached base in 15 straight games, hitting .486 with a .625 on-base percentage with 14 runs and five multi-hit games.
- For the season Rohleder leads the team and is tied for second in the MW with 27 walks and is seventh in the league with a .478 on-base percentage.
- The junior second baseman was nearly unstoppable in the Fresno State Invitational, going 11-for-15 (.733) with a .789 on-base percentage and 1.000 slugging percentage with a triple and two doubles. In two games on Mar. 30 she hit a perfect 7-for-7.
