Equestrian student-athletes earn NCEA Farnam All-Academic, APHA Academic Honor Roll accolades

WACO, Texas -Â Six Fresno State equestrian student-athletes earned Farnam NCEA All-Academic honors alongside 13 who picked up APHA Academic Honor Roll recognitions, as announced by the organization on Thursday.Â

Junior Paige Barton represented the Bulldogs as the program's only NCEA First-Team All-Academic selection this season. Barton picks up her second career First-Team All-Academic selection after having competed in a minimum of 70 percent of competition and maintaining 3.5 cumulative GPA while being a full-time student in the last two semesters.Â

Redshirt junior Erica Rosinski earned NCEA Second-Team All-Academic honors for the first time in her Bulldog career. Second-Team recognition is given to the student-athletes who have competed in at least 60 percent of competition while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.25 through the last two semesters.Â

Four Bulldogs garnered Farnam NCEA All-Academic Honorable Mention as junior Shea Gilson, senior Kara Gustafson, sophomore Alexis Miller and redshirt junior Brooke Nelson had competed in at least 50 percent of competition while earning a 3.00 cumulative GPA through the last two semesters.Â

The NCEA also announced its APHA Academic Honor Roll selections that recognizes the top student-athletes who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.25 while maintaining full-time enrollment in the previous two semesters. There is no competition required for this award.Â
