- Fresno State took 2-of-3 games at UNLV, handing the Rebels – who were receiving votes in both national polls and were 14-2 at home this season – their first MW series loss of the year.
- The Bulldogs have won nine of their last 10 games overall, outscoring their opposition 61-22 during the stretch with four shutouts.
- Junior Rachel Minogue is the toughest player to strike out in NCAA Div. I with just one strikeout in 109 official at-bats this season. She also ranks second in the MW hitting .404 and is fourth with 32 RBIs.
- Junior Hayleigh Galvan and freshman Danielle Lung were named MW Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, on Tuesday. Galvan hit .500 and had a go-ahead 3-run homer in the 7th inning in the finale at UNLV and Lung earned both wins in the series and did not allow an earned run over 10.0 innings.
- Fresno State has won 15 consecutive non-conference games dating back to March 1 and is 14-2 at home this season while leading all 20 Div. I schools in California (including No. 1 UCLA) in attendance.
- The Hornets are the defending Big Sky champion and have won four straight games, including a 5-2 win at then-No. 24 Stanford and a home conference sweep of Montana.
- Sacramento State is 15-6 in home games this year but just 6-11 in road and neutral site games. The squad has lost to UC Santa Barbara, Santa Clara, and CSU Bakersfield but has a win over Nevada and went 3-0 vs. Loyola Marymount.
- The Hornets lead the Big Sky with a 2.24 team ERA and are also the highest scoring team in the league averaging 4.87 runs per game. The team also leads its conference with 30 home runs and a .429 slugging percentage.
- Savanna Corr and Danielle Sperry rank first and second, respectively, in the Big Sky in ERA. Corr is 14-9 with a 2.24 ERA and threw a perfect game earlier this season while Sperry is 7-1 with a 2.45 ERA.
- Krystal Aubert leads the Big Sky with 10 home runs and Suzy Brookshire has hit seven homers for a Sacramento State team that returned seven starters and has 13 combined seniors and juniors.
- Fresno State is 36-11 all-time against Sacramento State and has won the last four meetings, most recently beating the Hornets 5-2 at home in 2017.
- Fresno State has won nine of its last 10 games after taking 2-of-3 games at UNLV, which was receiving votes in both national polls and had been 14-2 at home this season.
- Over the last 10 games the 'Dogs have hit .363 as a team while averaging 6.1 runs per game. The pitchers have combined for a 1.91 ERA and .219 opposing batting averaging with just 18 earned runs allowed in 66.0 innings.
- Three Bulldogs (Miranda Rohleder, Hayleigh Galvan, and Rachel Minogue) are hitting .500 or better over the last 10 games while Minogue has driven in 14 runs during the stretch. Danielle Lung is 6-0 with a 1.11 ERA, earning the W in six of the nine Bulldog victories.
- Rachel Minogue now ranks as the toughest player to strike out in NCAA Div. I, having struck out just one time in 109 official at-bats this season.
- Minogue is one of just five qualified hitters in Div. I with only one strikeout this year and has the most at-bats among the group, with Loyola Chicago's Shannon McGee second with one K in 104 official at-bats.
- Minogue's only strikeout this year came at No. 1 UCLA in Megan Faraimo's 5-inning no-hitter. She has just one strikeout in 125 total plate appearances this year after striking out just six times all last year.
- Minogue also ranks second in the MW with a .404 season batting average and is fourth in the league with 32 RBIs.
- Fresno State swept the Mountain West Player and Pitcher of the Week awards as junior Hayleigh Galvan and freshman Danielle Lung, respectively, earned the weekly honors announced by the conference on Tuesday.
- Lung received the Pitcher of the Week selection for the second time this season while Galvan earned the award for the first time.
- Lung joins teammate Hailey Dolcini as a two-time winner as the 'Dogs have now had the conference Pitcher of the Week in four of 10 total weeks this season while no other team has won more than two such honors.
- Galvan was 5-for-10 last week and hit the go-ahead 3-run homer in the seventh inning in the series finale on Sunday. Lung did not allow an earned run over 10.0 innings pitched and picked up both Bulldog victories.
- Fresno State is 14-2 at home this season with a 13-0 record in home non-conference games.
- In 16 home game the Bulldogs have hit .357 with 41 extra-base hits and scored 92 runs while also going 24-30 in stolen base attempts.
- The Fresno State pitchers have combined for a 1.69 ERA and .198 opposing batting average at home while allowing just 26 earned runs over 108.0 innings. All three pitchers have ERA's below 2.35 this season at Margie Wright Diamond
- Freshman Danielle Lung has won 10 consecutive decisions and is 10-1 this season, the second best winning percentage among all qualified MW pitchers.
- Lung has earned a win in each of her last six appearances (three starts) with a 1.11 ERA, allowing just four earned runs in 25.1 innings pitched.
- The program record for season winning percentage belongs to Marcie Green, who went 15-1 (.938) in 1990. Amanda Scott holds the program record for consecutive wins with 19 in 2000.
- Fresno State has won 15 straight non-conference games and is 21-6 in non-conference games this year (21-3 vs. non top-10 teams with two loses vs. No. 1 UCLA).
- The Bulldogs have three non-conference games remaining, all at home, with the doubleheader vs. Sacramento State on Wednesday and a game vs. Stanford on April 23.
- Fresno State is 20-0 this season when scoring first (20 of 24 total wins).
- The 'Dogs are 11-0 when leading after the first inning, 18-0 when leading after the second inning, and 19-0 when leading after the fifth inning.
- The Bulldogs have just two losses this season in games in which they held a lead at any point.
- Senior Jade Nua has reached base in 23 consecutive games, the longest reached-base streak by a Bulldog since Kierra Willis reached in 27 straight games in 2016.
- Nua made her first start as a Bulldog against North Dakota on March 8 and hasn't left the starting lineup since, as over the last 23 games she is hitting .382 with two home runs, 12 RBIs, and 12 runs with a .527 on-base percentage.
- Nua ranks second in the MW with a .513 season on-base percentage and she also leads the league with 10 hit-by-pitches.
- Fresno State leads the MW and ranks 24th in NCAA Div. I with a .405 team on-base percentage this year. The 'Dogs have a .452 OBP over 16 home games and have reached at a .425 clip in non-conference games.
- Six Bulldog starters have on-base percentages better than .400 while five have .450+ OBPs this year.
- As a team the Bulldogs ranked fifth in NCAA Div. I with a .410 on-base percentage last year.
- The Red Wave has averaged 1,103 fans per game over the first 16 Bulldog home games. That average is the highest among all 20 Div. I schools in California (including No. 1 UCLA), second highest among all non-Power-5 schools, and 13th most in all of NCAA Div. I.
- The Red Wave averaged 1,071 fans per game last season, the most in California and the 15th highest attendance average in the nation. The 'Dogs total attendance of 27,853 fans was 16th most in Div. I.
- Fresno State has averaged more than 1,000 fans per game for 26 consecutive seasons. No other MW team averaged more than 520 fans last year, less than half of the 'Dogs average.
- Fresno State has just four pitchers on its roster and one is redshirting, but the other three have all made big contributions this season and have combined for a MW-leading four Pitcher of the Week awards this year.
- Sophomore transfer Hailey Dolcini has led the staff in her first season as a Bulldog, posting a 10-5 record and 2.45 ERA overall while ranking third in the MW with 83 strikeouts. As a starter she is 10-3 with a 1.65 ERA this year and the team has won 11 of her 14 starts.
- Sophomore Danielle East, who was an All-MW selection last season, has four wins and a save this year and has pitched particularly well in relief, going 2-1 with a save and a 1.44 ERA with a .160 opposing batting average in 12 relief appearances.
- Freshman Danielle Lung leads the team and ranks second in the MW with a .223 opposing batting average. She is 10-0 with wins in 10 consecutive decisions and has been named MW Pitcher of the Week twice this season.
- Fresno State has won exactly 17 home games in each of the last three seasons and has had a winning home record in all 41 years of the program's existence.
- Fresno State is 923-241-1 all-time at home playing in its 42nd season, winning over 79% of its home games in the program's storied history.
- Freshman McKenzie Wilson leads the MW with 20 stolen bases this year, already the eighth most stolen bases in a season in program history.
- Wilson has had at least one stolen base in 11 of the last 21 games with two steals in four different games.
- The 'Dogs are 19-8 with Wilson hitting leadoff this season as she is also hitting .351 and leading the team with 29 runs scored.
- Fresno State went 15-2 this year against teams from "west" non-conference leagues - Big West, West Coast Conference (WCC), and Western Athletic Conference (WAC).
- The 'Dogs went a perfect 7-0 against WCC teams, earning five wins against those conference members in the Fresno State Invitational.
- The Bulldogs were also 6-1 against Big West teams and 2-1 against the WAC.
- Miranda Rohleder was nearly unstoppable in the Fresno State Invitational, going 11-for-15 (.733) with a .789 on-base percentage and 1.000 slugging percentage with a triple and two doubles. In two games on Mar. 30 she hit a perfect 7-for-7.
- The junior second baseman has reached base in 23 of the last 24 games with hits in 16 of the last 24 contests, including eight multi-hit games.
- Rohleder leads the team and is tied for second in the MW with 24 walks this season.
