Bulldog softball announces fall schedule

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State softball team will play eight games over four dates in October in preparation for the 2020 season.

The 'Dogs will play six of their eight fall games at home at Margie Wright Diamond with three doubleheaders.The first being on Oct. 13.Â

Admission is FREE for all fall games at Margie Wright Diamond.

The Bulldogs have 17 returners and six incoming freshmen on the 2019-20 roster. The 'Dogs return seven starters from the 2019 team, including MW Freshman of the Year and All-MW first team selection McKenzie Wilson, who broke school and conference records with 39 stolen bases during her freshman season while also leading the team hitting .393 with 48 runs scored.

All five Bulldogs that earned 2019 All-MW honors return for the 2020 season, including pitchers Hailey Dolcini and Danielle Lung, designated player Hayleigh Galvan, and third baseman Schuylar Broussard. Galvan also earned NFCA All-Region honors for the second consecutive season last year as she hit .336 with a .457 on-base percentage and led the team with 10 home runs and 45 RBIs.

The 'Dogs won 37 games in 2019, their most wins since the 2016 season, and advanced to the postseason playing in the National Invitational Softball Championship (NISC). In 2019Â the 'Dogs recorded their 38th consecutive 30-win season while going 23-5 at home, the most home wins by a Fresno State team since the 2012 season.
