Bulldogs head to Reno to play Pack

Fresno State and Nevada will meet for the only time in the regular season when the teams play on Saturday night in Reno.

Fresno State will visit the Nevada Wolf Pack on Saturday at 7 p.m. PT at Lawlor Events Center.  The game will be broadcast on ESPNU and 940 AM ESPN Radio. This will be the only regular season game between the teams.
Fresno State & Nevada: All-Time Series History
Fresno State and Nevada started the all-time series during the 1924-25 season. Â After playing twice during the regular season for the past 19 seasons, this will be the lone regular season contest between the Bulldogs and Wolf Pack. Â Fresno State trails its overall series with Nevada 57-44 and the Bulldogs are 17-31 in games played against the Pack in Reno. Â Fresno State had won six of seven meetings from 2014-17, but the Bulldogs have lost their last five games against Nevada dating back to a 83-72 MW semifinal loss on March 10, 2017. Â Fresno State's last win over Nevada was an 81-76 road win over the Wolf Pack on Jan. 21, 2017.
Between the Baselines
Fresno State has fielded six of the 22 freshmen who have appeared in games so far for Mountain West teams. Â Fresno State leads the league with freshmen averaging 100.9 minutes per game, which is nearly half of the Bulldogs' minutes per game average (49.3 percent). Â Fresno State's freshmen have accounted for 2,724 of the team's 5,525 total minutes played (49.3 percent) this season. Â Fresno State freshmen Orlando Robinson (12.7 ppg) and Jarred Hyder (8.9 ppg) lead the way for Fresno State's now six freshmen, who have scored 894 of the Bulldogs' 1,866 points for an average of 33.1 points of the team's 69.1 points per game (47.9 percent). Hart surging down the stretch
In the last five games, Fresno State freshman reserve guard Niven Hart has averaged 18.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while 49.3 percent from the field (35-for-71). Â So in total, Hart has scored 92 points in those five games, including a career-high 30 points to lead the Bulldogs to an 84-78 overtime road win at San Jose State on Feb. 12, and 29 points against Colorado State on Feb. 5. Â Hart, who is originally from Orlando, Fla., is the first Bulldog freshman in program history to score 30 points in a game since Randy Holcomb did so against Sacramento State on Dec. 1, 1998. Â Paul George (2009) and Kevin Olekaibe (2011) are the only other two Fresno State freshmen to even score 29 points in a game in the last 15 seasons.
