Fresno State was picked to finish fifth in the Mountain West. The Spartans led the way with 53 points (two first place votes), after posting a second place finish in 2019 with a 17-7 MW record. San Diego State was picked to finish second (50 points, three first place votes) and a tie between 2019 MW champion Colorado State (45 points, one first place vote) and UNLV (45 points, one first place vote) rounds out the top three positions. - Miranda Rohleder led the Bulldogs at the plate last weekend batting .538Â (7-of-13), with three extra base hits and four RBIs.
- Fresno State touts six players batting above .300 in McKenzie Wilson (.444), Miranda Rohleder (.415), Alesia Denby (.367), Kaitlyn Jennings (.356), Schuylar Broussard (.320) and Vanessa Hernandez (.316).

Washington returns three All-Americans in Sis Bates, Gabbie Plain, and Morganne Flores. The three Huskies also earned spots on the 2020 Player of the Year Watchlist. The Huskies were ranked first in the NFCA and Pac-12 preseason polls. The Huskies earned a bid to the NCAA tournament but fell in the semifinal game to 2019 Champion UCLA.
- LMU is 9-7 this season, and 0-2 on the road. The Lions posted a huge upset over No. 4 LSU at the Judi Garman Classic during Thursday's opening day. Molly Grumbo leads LMU with 26 hits and is batting .500 throughout the season. Linnay Wilson leads the Lions in the circle with a 4-3 record, 2.53 ERA and 39 strikeouts. LMU was chosen to finish second in WCC preseason poll.
- No 3. Texas is 17-2 this season coming off an extra-inning win over No. 1 UCLA. Texas returns 2019 All-American Miranda Elish who has earned NFCA National Player of the Week on Feb. 11, two Big 12 pitcher of the week honors, and is on the Player of the Year watch list this season. The Longhorns earned a bid to the 2019 NCAA Tournament but fell in game three of the Super Regional to No. 5 Alabama.
- Fullerton is 10-5 this season, posting notable wins over Notre Dame and Arizona State at the Mary Nutter Classic. Dani Martinez has led the Titans in the circle with a 2.87 ERA and 27 strikeouts. The Titans were chosen first in the Big West preseason poll.
