QUICK LOOK - Fresno State is 2-1 on the year after picking up back-to-back wins at Winthrop (17-12) and versus Stetson (21-13).

The Bulldogs defeated Stetson on Feb. 22 in record-breaking fashion as Fresno State scored its most goals at home and third most in program history (21) in the win. Bulldogs Sydney Skalstad and Lauren Kiszely also broke single-game records in the win.

SCORING SKALSTAD - In her second season in a Bulldog uniform, Skalstad picked up where she left off after her rookie season as she has gone on to score 15 goals this season - nearing half of her total from last year (33). The sophomore leads the teams in goals (15), shots (22) and points (15) through the first three games of the season.

Skalstad broke the program's single game goal record with eight goals in the Bulldogs' win against Stetson on Feb. 22. Skalstad ranks No. 3 in the NCAA in goals per game (5) and is tied for first in shots on goal per game (7.33).

BALANCED ATTACK - Skalstad scores a lot of goals, but the rest of the Bulldog offense pitches in a fair amount as well. Senior Kayla Galet is second on the team with 10 goals, junior Megan Walaitis has eight, Marina Mayo has five, Tiffiny Wallace adds four, Hannah Krats has three and Kiszely has two. In addition to those, Jordyn Pandolfo and Hennessey Evans have both added a goal apiece this season.

The Bulldogs have scored 49 goals this season, and are averaging 16 goals per game.

HOW MAY WE ASSIST YOU? - Fresno State's offense has been sharing the wealth on goals, and has been setting up the goals on noteworthy numbers as well. The 'Dogs have registered assists on 25 goals this season, and have had them from six different players. As a team, Fresno State ranks No. 9 in the NCAA in assists per game (8.33). Kiszely leads the Bulldogs with 12 assists on the year, 11 coming in the last two games. The junior ranks No. 9 in assists and No. 2 in assists per game in the NCAA standings. She broke the program record for most assists in a game (6) against Stetson, and her 12 assists through just three games this season already ranks within the top 10 of single-season assist numbers.

'DOGS ON D - The Bulldogs have locked down on defense under new assistant coaches Abigail Bergevin and Princess Zabel. Fresno State has recorded 24 caused turnovers this season, and are second in the conference in caused turnovers per game. Laurel Maunder leads the team with four on the year while Mayo, Wallace and Pandolfo each have three.

GROUND BALL MAGNETS - The Bulldogs rank No. 12 in the NCAA in ground balls per game, averaging 22 this season. Fresno State is led by Pandolfo who has 10 this season, Evans has contributed nine and Maunder has added eight. 13 other Bulldogs have picked up at least one ground ball on the year, and 11 of those 13 have multiple. Fresno State has 66 total ground balls and is second in the conference behind San Diego State who has 68.

LAST SEASON - Fresno State finished the 2019 season with a 7-7 (0-2 MPSF) record. The Bulldogs had their best start to a season with a 3-0 start a season ago. The Bulldogs knocked off two Pac-12 opponents for the first time in program history to start the season, including their first-ever win versus Oregon.

- Marquette is 3-3 this season. The Golden Eagles fell to Arizona State on Thursday, 18-14.
- Marquette has wins over Cincinnati, Canisius and Niagara. It is 0-3 on the road, and its matchup with the 'Dogs will be its first neutral site meeting of the season.
- Shea Garcia leads the Golden Eagles with 14 goals this season. The sophomore attacker led the team in scoring against Arizona State with a season-high four goals.
- Marquette has two goalies who have split time in the net and share 60 total saves on the year. Sophia Leva has a 2-1 record and Julianna Horning is 1-2 this year.
- Marquette has out-shot its opponents 191-166 this season.
- The Golden Eagles finished the 2019 season with a 9-9 mark.
SCOUTING ARIZONA STATE
- Arizona State is 3-2 this season after its 18-14 win against Marquette on Thursday. The Sun Devils played their first home game of the season in the win.
- Arizona State has played both MPSF opponents. The Sun Devils defeated UC Davis 16-12, but lost to San Diego State 19-18. It's only other loss of the season was to No. 3 Northwestern on the road.
- Arizona State is in its third season as a women's lacrosse program. The Sun Devils are led by first-year head coach Tim McCormack.
- The Sun Devils are No. 3 in assists per game, tied for third in shot percentage, No. 5 in points per game, No. 7 in free position percentage and No. 9 in scoring offense in the NCAA.
- ASU was 6-12 in 2019.
