Meet Notes
Fresno State will honor its senior class on Friday against SMU. The Bulldogs have seven graduating seniors in Paige Barton, Nicole Campbell, Shea Gilson, Julia Kelly, Brooke Nelson, Michelle Patin and Erica Rosinski.

As always, admission and parking are free. On Friday, parking passes can be obtained from the announcers booth.

Quick look at the Bulldogs
Fresno State is 7-5 (3-2 Big 12) on the season after splitting its meets in Texas last time out. The 'Dogs have been steady in their home meets with a 5-3 record at the Student Horse Center this year. The three home losses were against then-No. 7 TCU, then-No. 2 Georgia and No. 1 Auburn. The 'Dogs lost by no more than five points in those losses.

Fresno State returns home for the first time since Feb. 7-8. The 'Dogs swept the weekend against UT-Martin and UC Davis while outscoring the teams 28-9.

Last time vs. the Mustangs
The last time the teams met was at the 2019 United Equestrian Conference championship. SMU won the title with a 14-2 win over the 'Dogs.

The last regular season matchup between the two squads was on Oct. 27, 2018 and the Mustangs earned a 15-5 win on their home turf. SMU has won the last four meets against Fresno State. The 'Dogs are 4-1 against SMU at home.

Last time vs. the Hornets
Fresno State traveled to Lynchburg, Va. on Sept. 21, 2019 for a Jumping Seat only competition at their home arena. The Bulldogs earned a 6-2 win on the day with a 3-1 win in both the Flat and Fences. Brooke Nelson earned the Flat MOP with a 80-62 ride and Ana Bertozzi earned the MOP in the Fences with a 83-55 performance.

- SMU is fresh off of a record-breaking 17-1 senior day win against TCU. The 16-point margin of victory is the largest in program history.
- The Mustangs were ranked No. 3 in this week's NCEA team rankings, their highest of the season.
- SMU has moved up in the team rankings for five consecutive ranks. It was ranked No. 9 at the end of the fall season.
- The Mustangs are ranked in the top 10 in each event rankings, released by the NCEA on Tuesday. SMU ranks No. 2 in Horsemanship, No. 3 in Reining, No. 8 in Flat and No. 9 in Fences.
- The Western squads have dominated the rink for SMU this season. The Horsemanship squad has only been defeated once, by No. 1 Auburn. The Reining team has lost twice, to No. 1 Auburn and UT-Martin.

- Lynchburg has only had three NCEA matchups this season.
- Lynchburg is 0-3 in its NCEA meets this year with losses to Fresno State, SUNY New Paltz and Delaware State.
- For NCEA teams, competitions against Lynchburg do not count towards the overall team record. However, competition and rides versus Lynchburg effect the Jumping Seat event rankings and records.

- The Western 'Dogs have totaled a 69-42-9 record with a 34-20-6 mark in the Reining and a 35-22-3 record in Horsemanship.
- The Horsemanship team is led by senior Nicole Campbell with a 8-4 record on the year. Freshman Hannah Way and sophomore Kameron Thorn are close behind with seven wins apiece.
- Thorn is 4-1 in the event this spring, including a win against No. 1 Auburn.
- The 'Dogs have earned four MOP's in the Horsemanship this season.
- The Reining squad is led by freshman Bailey Alexander who has earned a 9-2 record in the Reining this season. Senior Paige Barton is near with eight wins in the event.
- Alexander and Lexee Padrick are each 3-2 in the Reining this spring.
- The Reining team has earned a team-best nine MOP's this year - Barton (4), Alexander (3), Padrick (2)
Jumping Seat 'Dogs
- Fresno State has had an outstanding performance in the Jumping Seat arenas this spring season as it has totaled a 70-64-4 record in the event this season. The 'Dogs have a 37-28-4 record in the Flat and a 33-36 mark in Fences.
- The Flat team made the move up in the events rankings from No. 7 to No. 4 as it has gone on to win two meets this spring, while also tying two.
- The event is led by Cecily Hayes who has a 9-3-1 record in the event this season. Hayes was named the February Big 12 Rider of the Month in the event. Hayes has a career high wins in the Flat.
- Fresno State has won six Flat MOP's this season.
- The Fences team dropped one to No. 11, but have still won two meets this spring including a 5-0 sweep against UT-Martin.
- The 'Dogs are led by Hayes (8-5) and senior Erica Rosinski (8-6) with eight wins apiece.
- Sophomore Alivia Hart has been on fire for the Fences team this spring as she has won four consecutive points and earned one MOP.
- The 'Dogs have earned seven Fences MOP's on the year.
