Fresno State is set for its first road trip of the season.
The Bulldogs will take on the No. 1 and No. 2 teams in the NCEA this weekend.
Fresno State is 2-0 to open the season.

FRESNO, Calif. - The No. 7 Fresno State equestrian team hits the road for the first time this season, making a trip to Athens, Ga. and Auburn, Ala. to take on three teams in meets on Friday and Saturday.

QUICK LOOK AT THE 'DOGS

Fresno State has opened the season 2-0 for the second-straight season.
The Bulldogs have earned wins over No. 6 TCU and No. 9 South Carolina.
Fresno State has earned seven of eight possible MOP honors this season.
One true freshman (Olivia Ferro) has competed for the Bulldogs this season. Ferro rides in the Fences, and is 1-1 with an MOP.
The Bulldogs have won the jumping seat discipline in both meets this season.
Fresno State looks toward its first road trip of the season this weekend.
Fresno State finished the 2021 spring season with a 5-6 record.
The Bulldogs were ranked as high as No. 5 in the NCEA a season ago.
Fresno State was ranked No. 7 in the NCEA preseason team rankings.
The Bulldogs have 27 riders who return from the 2019-20 roster.
Head coach Eric Hubbard enters his 10th season at the helm of the Fresno State equestrian program, having served as the program's interim head coach from 2013-15.
Assistant coaches Mary Brown (western) and Caitlin Marshall (jumping seat) enter their fifth seasons with the 'Dogs.

SCOUTING GEORGIA

Georgia opened its season with a 13-7 loss at Auburn on Oct. 8.
Georgia was the 2020-21 National Champion team, defeating the No. 4-seeded SMU in the championship a season ago. It was its seventh national champion title in the history of the program.
Georgia finished the 2020-21 season second in the SEC.
The Bulldogs return 11 starters to the Jumping Seat and Western lineups this year. Georgia added 13 freshmen to its roster for this season.

SCOUTING AUBURN

Auburn is 2-1 this season with wins against Georgia and SMU, and a loss to Oklahoma State.
Auburn is the three-time defending SEC champion.
In the NCEA National Championship quarterfinal a season ago, Auburn was knocked off by Baylor. It was Auburn's first Equestrian loss since April 2018, and snapped a 42-meet winning streak.

SCOUTING LYNCHBURG

Lynchburg is 2-0 this season with wins over SUNY New Paltz and Bridgewater.
Lynchburg is a Jumping Seat only program.
Its wins this season mark the program's first-ever NCEA victories.
