SAN DIEGO – The Fresno State women's tennis team defeated the San Diego State Aztecs 4-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Aztec Tennis Center.

Fresno State (8-3, 1-0 Mountain West) earned wins at the No. 1, No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 positions in singles to secure the road victory over San Diego State (2-3, 0-1 MW).

The other two singles matches were unfinished at the time when A.C. Hummel clinched the match for the Bulldogs in straight sets.

Bulldog Bones

Dalia Ahmed improved to 9-2 in singles play this season, including a 5-1 mark at the No. 1 singles position.
A.C. Hummel improved to 6-1 in singles play this season, including a 2-0 record at the No. 4 singles position.
Carolina Piferi improved to 5-4 in singles play this season, including a 4-0 record at the No. 5 singles position.
Fresno State has now won seven of its last nine matches.
Fresno State improved to 3-2 in road matches this season, which also includes a pair of a 4-3 nonconference wins at Pacific (Feb. 26) and Cal State Fullerton (March 12).
