Weekend Notes - The Bulldogs are set to compete in their two originally scheduled meets versus TCU and at SMU on Friday and Saturday, but have added two additional meets to the weekend that were originally scheduled for Feb. 18-19 but postponed due to weather in the Texas area. The Bulldogs will compete against Oklahoma State and Baylor at TCU on Sunday for the makeup meets.

'Dogs in the Rankings - Fresno State earned its highest national ranking of the season on Tuesday, coming in at No. 5 in the latest rankings announcement. The Bulldogs spent three of the last four weeks at No. 8, and were the sixth-ranked team in the preseason poll. Fresno State's highest-ever team ranking is No. 4 as they finished the 2019-20 season as the fourth-ranked team in the nation.

Quick look at the 'Dogs - Fresno State is 2-0 this season, with one road meet and one home meet under its belt. The Bulldogs defeated then-No. 10 UC Davis twice this season. The 'Dogs opened the season in Davis with a 10-9 road win (Feb. 13), and defeated the Aggies again 12-8 in Fresno (Feb. 25).

This weekend will be the Bulldogs first outside the state of California, and first against top-ranked opponents. This weekend will also represent the Bulldogs' only regular season Big 12 competition of the season.

Scouting No. 2 TCU
TCU was ranked second in the latest NCEA team rankings. The Horned Frogs are 4-1 on the year with the only loss being a 10-9 defeat at No. 9 Baylor. TCU lost its only road competition of the season. TCU earned three of the four Big 12 February Riders of the Month, announced by the conference on Tuesday. TCU's honorees included Ashleigh Scully in fences, Jacey Albaugh in flat and Shea Graham in reining. Albaugh was also named the NCEA Flat Rider of the Month.

Scouting No. 8 SMU
SMU is 2-1 this season. It's only loss is to TCU. The Mustangs were ranked No. 8 in the latest NCEA team rankings. Three Mustangs earned January Rider of the Month honors from the NCEA. SMU saw Devin Seek as the fences honoree, Madigan Eppink as the flat rider of the month and Megan Waldron was the horsemanship recipient. SMU has had two of its last scheduled meets canceled.

Scouting No. 7 Baylor
Baylor is 1-1 this season after suffering a season-opening tiebreaker score loss to then-No 7 Texas A&M. The Bears earned a win against TCU, 10-9. Junior reiner Madaline Callaway was named the NCEA Reining Rider of the Month in January. Baylor has had four of its meets postponed so far this season.

Scouting No. 6 Oklahoma State
Oklahoma State is 0-1 on the season after having two of its meets postponed, and two canceled. It's only meet of the season was a 14-5 loss at TCU on Feb. 21. Oklahoma State had one rider honored by the Big 12 as Jojo Roberson was named the conference Horsemanship Rider of the Month for February.

Western 'Dogs
- The Western 'Dogs are 13-6 this season.
- Horsemanship has a 7-2-1 mark and Reining is 6-4 on the year.
- Fresno State has earned both horsemanship MOPs on the season as Kameron Thorn won the honor in the season opener, and Alexis Steele was the MOP in the home opener.
- Thorn has scored the highest horsemanship score of the season, a 76.5 in her MOP ride at UC Davis (Feb. 13).
- Thorn is the only Bulldog to be 2-0 in the horsemanship this season.
- In the reining, Paley Capachi and Lexee Padrick tie for the highest score in the event with a 70. Padrick scored hers at UC Davis (Feb. 13) and Capachi rode for hers in the home opener (Feb. 25). Both riders earned the MOP.
- Capachi, Padrick and Julianne Kelley are all undefeated in the reining this season.
- The western 'Dogs have earned every available MOP this season.
Jumping Seat 'Dogs
- The Bulldog jumping seat corp is 9-11 this season.
- The fences have a 4-6 mark and the flat is 5-5 on the year.
- Sophomore Ana Bertozzi was named the NCEA Fences Rider of the Month on Wednesday. Bertozzi has a 2-0 record in the event and a team-high 83 on the year.
- Bertozzi is also undefeated in the flat this season. She rode for a career-high 89 and her first career flat MOP versus UC Davis on Feb. 25.
- Freshman Grace Mathias is also undefeated in the flat this season.
- The Bulldogs have earned three of the four possible jumping seat MOPs this season.
