The Bulldogs took an early lead by winning the doubles point before the Mustangs rallied in singles.
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Fresno State women's tennis team lost 4-2 at Cal Poly on Saturday at the Mustang Tennis Complex.
Â
Fresno State (4-3) capitalized on wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles positions to take a 1-0 lead heading into singles play.
Â
But outside of a three-set singles win by Cristina Flaquer in the No. 3 slot, the Bulldogs came up short in dropping the other four finished singles contests to undefeated Cal Poly (6-0) despite producing competitive battles throughout the match.
Fresno State is next scheduled to play at Cal State Fullerton on March 12 and then face Gonzaga in San Diego in a neutral site event on March 14.
