FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno State head women's basketball coach Jaime White announced the addition of Fresno native Imani Lacy, on Tuesday afternoon. The 6-foot-1 forward will have two years of eligibility with the Bulldogs.
"We are thrilled to add Imani to our Bulldog family and welcome her back to the Central Valley," White said. "Imani brings a demanding rebound presence under the basket. With her Division I experience she has the versatility to face up and attack miss matches. Our community will be excited to see Imani's passion and determination in helping the Bulldogs win championships."
Lacy will join the 'Dogs after one season at Long Beach State. With limited time late in the season, Lacy's biggest game came in the Big West Tournament, posting 11 points and five rebounds in 20 minutes in their opener.
The Central Valley product spent her first two collegiate seasons at Nevada. In Reno, Lacy made strides from Year 1 to Year 2 to show the numbers she is capable of producing in the Mountain West. Raising her average by nearly five points per game, Lacy ranked second in scoring for the Wolf Pack in 2020 with 11.4 points per outing, shooting 45.5 percent from the field. Starting 27 of Nevada's 31 games in her final season there, she averaged 22.1 minutes per game while recording 5.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per contest.
In total, Lacy played in 53 games in two seasons for the Wolf Pack scoring 482 points.
Lacy returns to Fresno where she was an all-league performer at Central High School.
Due to the NCAA rule that allowed all fall and winter 2020-21 student-athletes to get this season back, Lacy will have two years of eligibility remaining.
