FRESNO, Calif. – Following a 2021 season that saw Fresno State earn its best winning percentage in 25 years (.833), and achieving its seventh 20-win season in program history, the Bulldogs finished the year ranked third in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Northwest Region. The 'Dogs were placed behind Stanford and Oregon and ahead of Washington.
"It was a phenomenal season by our team as they handled all the adversity that was thrown their way," Fresno State head coach Luke Shields said. "This was our strongest finish in our region since I've been here. We were 5-0 against regional opponents with four of those coming against teams in the top 10. I'm very proud of how our team handled every situation this year with ultimate class."
While the Pac-12 captured 12 of the top 20 singles players, Fresno State claimed three spots in the rankings. Zdenek Derkas (10-5) was the highest Bulldog at No. 10. Dario Huber (11-3) was slotted at No. 16 while Angus Bradshaw (13-3) was No. 18.
Bradshaw was joined by Aleksandr Myagkov in the doubles rankings as the pair came in at No. 9.
