MANHATTAN, Kan. - Behind three 'Dogs with double-digit kills, the Fresno State volleyball team defeated Ohio in four sets on Friday afternoon at the K-State Invitational at the Bramlage Coliseum.
Fresno State (3-2) overcame a 25-18 setback in set one to bounce back to take the next three sets, 25-20, 25-16, 25-21 over Ohio (0-8).
How It Happened
After dropping the opening set, the Bulldogs bounced back in set two to jump out to a 14-9 lead after a service ace by Desiree Sukhov, one of nine aces the 'Dogs registered in the match. Taking as large as a seven-point lead, the Bobcats cut the 'Dogs lead down to three on three occasions with the final time coming at 23-20 before kills by Grace Doyle and Kelley closed out the set.
A back-and-forth third set saw the 'Dogs close out the set on a 9-3 run and they were able to stave off a late rally by the Bobcats in the fourth set to complete the comeback win.
