'Dogs and Rams draw in weather-shortened match

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Shortened due to weather, Fresno State earned a 1-1 draw at Colorado State on Sunday afternoon. Kassandra Ceja scored the game-tying goal less than 15 minutes before the match was stopped.
How It Happened
The Bulldogs fell behind less than 15 minutes into the match. With Fresno State's center backs converging on a lofted ball to a Ram attacker in their half, it was volleyed over the defenders to Liv Layton who was making a run down the right channel. The striker slipped the ball past Valentina Vivas on the breakaway.
Kassandra Ceja looked to equalize in the 30th minute from 25 yards. Making a turn, the Bulldog ripped a shot headed under the crossbar, but it was tipped up an over by an outstretched Maddie Ogden.
The Bulldogs nearly went two down early in the second half when the Rams found the back of the net. The goal was called back through for offside.
With new life, the 'Dogs capitalized minutes later. Getting by a pair of defenders down the left flank, Ciara Wilson hit a centering pass to the middle of the box where Ceja was making an unmarked darting run out of the midfield. Sliding in to meet the pass, the Bulldog's shot screamed past a diving Ogden.
Fifteen minutes later, the match was halted due to weather.
Scoring Summary
13:47 – CSU – Liv Layton (Megan Demski, Sarah Hogenkamp)
58:54 – FS – Kassandra Ceja (Ciara Wilson, Ella Wilson)
