FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State swimming and diving team got the 2022-23 season underway on Friday with the opening day of the Chick-Fil-A Invitational at the Fresno State Aquatics Center.

Highlighted by a sixth-place finish in the 100 Back by senior Athena Clayson (55.67) and an eight-place showing from sophomore Wiktoria Dabrowska in the 200 Free (1:52.27), the 'Dogs sit in fifth out of seven teams.

Joined by Cal, UCLA, Washington State, San Diego State, San Jose State and Colorado State, the Bulldogs also placed in the top seven in a pair of relays finishing sixth in the 200 Free Relay (1:35.56) and seventh in the 800 Free Relay (7:37.90).

The Chick-Fil-A Invitational wraps up on Saturday with the third and final session at 10 a.m. PT.
